Every athlete knows that what matters is not only how much and how you train, but also with what equipment you do it. Worn-out running shoes, a tired chain, or tires at the end of their life can compromise both performance and safety. That’s why 2PEAK allows you to easily track and manage all your equipment.
Why monitor your equipment
- Consistent performance: a worn shoe loses its cushioning, a worn tire reduces grip.
- Injury prevention: running with shoes beyond their lifespan can lead to joint pain or overload injuries.
- Safety: an overly worn chain or tire may break at the worst possible moment.
- Full control: always knowing how many kilometers your shoes, wheels, or bike have done helps you avoid unpleasant surprises.
How it works in 2PEAK (web version)
- Log in to your 2PEAK account.
- Go to Training Plan → Equipment.
- Add, put “at rest,” or update the mileage of your equipment. If you forgot to record the initial mileage, you can always correct it. When you reach a certain time or distance limit, 2PEAK will remind you to check and, if necessary, replace your equipment.
What you can track
- Running shoes: it is recommended to replace them between 600 and 800 km, depending on body weight, running style, and the surfaces you train on.
- Bike: you can specify the brand and model, enter initial mileage, log a chain, and even distinguish between different tire versions.
- Chain and tires: it is recommended to replace them on average every 2,500 to 5,000 km, depending on usage conditions and maintenance.
Managing from the 2PEAK App
You can also easily manage your equipment from the app:
- Tap on the gear icon at the bottom right.
- Go to Equipment.
- Add, remove, or adjust the mileage of your items.
You can also set a bike or a pair of shoes as default equipment so that every training session is automatically linked to the right gear.
In summary
With 2PEAK you not only train your body and mind, but you also keep your equipment under control at all times. That means more consistent performance, fewer injuries, and the confidence of always being 100% ready.
